Our Younger Futhark runic t-shirt designs are based on the Danish younger futhark that was used in the Viking age.
The runic inscription on this t-shirt reads 'Borna at run' in old norse, which translates roughly as Born to Rune. Old norse was the language runes were used to communicate, and while the old norse 'Risti' would be more correct for the writing of runes, we have used 'run' - the word for runes. This pun was used in the book Soul Music by Terry Pratchett. The knotwork at the bottom is based on a design from Viking age York.
All shirts are black cotton with a white screen print. There are also back and sleeve prints on this design. Born to Rune design by Jim from Asgard.
